Hi, I’m Dr. Shawna Dingman, and I’m so glad you are checking out Elevate Women’s Health Centre.
I created this Centre after 18 years of private practice out of a real passion for the unique health care needs of women and children. Although I’m a chiropractor and functional health care practitioner by training, I’m first and foremost a mom, wife and woman. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by the many hats we wear as moms. I know what it’s like to have to put everyone else’s needs first and function on limited sleep most of the time. I know what fluctuating hormones can do to sleep, focus, and motivation (not to mention patience!). And I also know the joy and frustration (joystration??) of raising little ones, teens and now a young adult.
All this to say, I really GET what other women are going through and how it affects our physical and mental health. I have found that our health care system simply is not equipped to deal well with the complexities of our bodies, minds and spirits…there are a lot of puzzle pieces. My goal is to help you put the pieces of the puzzle together to create a happy, healthy life that works for YOU!
In our office, I use gentle chiropractic care, genetic testing and customized weight loss plans (or any combination of) to help you create amazing health and fantastic quality of life.
When I’m not in the office, I’m usually hanging out with my wonderful husband (also a chiropractor), Craig. We have 3 kids, Jackson, Jenna and Cole, who keep us on our toes all the time. We love to Crossfit as a family, cottage and camp during the summer. We ski and hike during the winter. At home, we love to watch a great family show on Netflix with a fire and bowl of popcorn.
